    Sept. 25, 2017 — Loyant™ herbicide with Rinskor™ active is now registered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The new herbicide from Dow AgroSciences brings to the rice market a new active ingredient with unrivaled broad-spectrum control that also will combat herbicide resistance.

    Synthetic auxin herbicides have played an important role in weed management for decades with a highly effective yet complex mode of action.  Dow AgroSciences, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company (NYSE: DOW), collaborated with the University of Warwick, United Kingdom, to discover unique attributes of this important class of herbicides. Findings were recently shared at the International Weed Science Congress in Prague as well as the International Conference on Plant Growth Substances in Toronto.

    Dow AgroSciences LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company (NYSE: DOW), announced Rinskor™ (pronounced RINZ-KOR) active will be the brand name for the company’s new rice herbicide. Currently in the development process, Rinskor will bring farmers a new option for post-emergent control of grasses, broadleaves, and sedges in rice and other cropping systems. Scientific papers on Rinskor are being shared at the Weed Science Society of America’s Annual Meeting taking place in Lexington, Ky., from Feb. 9-12, 2015.
