Frequently Asked Questions about Crop Safety and Crop Response
Is Rinskor™ active safe to rice and other registered crops?
When registered products are available, Rinskor can be safely used on rice and other registered crops. When applied following label directions, growers will see selectivity and expected weed control. In certain circumstances, some crop response may appear following application. But, this crop response is transient, and no negative impact to yield has been observed.
Is the crop response observed with Rinskor going to affect my rice yield?
No, symptoms eventually observed with Rinskor applications are transient and won't affect yield. Hundreds of yield observations carried out at a global level and during more than 3 years demonstrate that rice has the capacity to overcome these symptoms and keep its regular growing pattern and physiological process to get to the expected yield.
What are the product mixtures that increase the crop response?
When used at anticipated label instructions, rice shows excellent crop tolerance. Any crop stress or environmental factors which influence plant health may impact crop tolerance to Rinskor. For specific tank mix recommendations, please contact your local Dow AgroSciences representative.
What are the symptoms that I can see on the rice if Rinskor causes a crop response?
Rinskor is selective to rice when used under recommended label instructions. Crop response is usually observed when rice plants are under levels of stress caused by external environmental factors and when higher than recommended doses are used. This can be seen as some leaf deformation (leaf rolling or "onion leaf"), some darker green color of rice foliage, and in some cases slight plant stunting. Rice will usually recover from these symptoms and yield won't be compromised.
